From the Founder
Today’s social media landscape has much in common with the early days after personal computers debuted. Companies were clamoring to introduce new software, users were completely confused as to what tools they should be using, and there were no standards at all. Social media is much like that today: new tools come out weekly, and even if you are comfortable with social media today, it’s going to change tomorrow.
How can you keep up? Books on social media are outdated before they go to print. Websites offer some help, but with so many and conflicting information, who do you trust and how do you have time to read it all? That’s where SocialMediaOnlineClasses.com can help.
My name is Maria Peagler, and I specialize in technology training. I started as the 10th employee of ExecuTrain, an Atlanta-based computer training company that grew to be the nation’s largest of its kind. Companies were in dire need of computer training for their employees, and I was soon traveling across the U.S. to teach Fortune 500 companies how to make their employees productive on PCs. Soon I became Director of Courseware Development for the company, and I made my focus to take complex computer concepts and make them simple. I presented papers at national conferences, wrote for national computer magazines, and led a team of technical writers in developing courses.
I was 26.
Fast-forward to today. Eight published books later, a Benjamin Franklin award for one of the Best Books of 2010, and I’m thrilled to debut these courses at a time when they’re desperately needed. I’m a small business owner too, and I understand how challenging today’s economy is for entrepreneurs. Watch this quick video to hear how I used social media to create a sustained demand for my product, even in a recession:
I can show you how to do the same. So take a look around, pick a course, and get started. It’s gonna be fun, I promise.
