2013 is quickly becoming the year of the photo.
Facebook increased the size of your photos in its News Feed. That means your images appear larger and your marketing message is reduced.
Pinterest continues to grow, and it also increased the space photos get on your Boards.
LinkedIn added a multimedia gallery where you can easily upload compelling photos and video.
Google+ was created specifically with photographers in mind, and they just enlarged the size of your cover photo.
Twitter created a new video sharing app called Vine allowing you to share videos under 6 seconds.
YouTube is the world’s second largest search engine, and in less than 5 years, over 90% of internet traffic will be video in nature.
Feel like you’re being left behind?
If you haven’t been optimizing your online presence with multimedia yet, it’s time to start.
Otherwise you risk losing sales to competitors who understand how to harness the emotional power of a visual image.
Consider my very-real client, Linda (all names have been changed to protect the innocent). She’s a successful interior designer with retail space in an upscale open-air mall in an affluent suburb of Atlanta.
Any day of the week (and weekends), you’ll find her in the car driving to client’s homes and commercial spaces for consultations, furniture installations, and preparing for their large events.
Ever watched Extreme Makeover with its flurry of activity? That’s Linda.
Only she doesn’t have time to take any photos. Neither does her assistant. Because the client’s sofa is backordered and she has a party this Saturday and absolutely, positively must have that perfect sofa for the party.
Multiply that times 20 and you can understand why Linda doesn’t have time to stop, stage the room, get the lighting right, hire a professional photographer to take images, send them to her for approval, and put them up on her website & social networks.
That’s not her world, and it’s not yours either.
The good news is:
You don’t need to know how to stage a room (or your home office)
You don’t need the perfect lighting
You don’t need a whiz-bang I-had-to-mortgage-my-car-to-afford-this camera
All you need is your smartphone.
Yes, your iPhone, Android, Samsung, or whatever device you already own.
They take stunning images. And you can too.
They don’t have to be perfect. They don’t even have to be great.
Your April Bonus Webinar will teach you how to capture images & video that connect with your audience. Using the equipment you’ve already got.
That’s right. You don’t have to spend a dime.
And the Bonus Webinar is FREE for registered students of SocialMediaOnlineClasses.com.
So you’ll get better visuals, a free webinar, and the best in online social media training, all for the price of one class!
See you Thursday!
